Because our "Fake Update Screen Prank" application is designed for lighthearted entertainment, we adhere strictly to international child safety regulations and store policies.
1. Google Play Families Policy Alignment
Our application is developed in strict alignment with the Google Play Families Policy requirements:
- No Inappropriate Themes: All prank update screen visual designs (e.g. loading animations, operating system styles, tech errors) are entirely non-violent, age-appropriate, and contain no scary or mature themes.
- Zero Personal Tracking: The app does not request access to device location services, system contacts, camera, or microphone feeds, ensuring kids are never tracked.
2. Child Safety & COPPA/GDPR Compliance
We comply with international child privacy frameworks, including the **Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)** in the United States and the **General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR-K)** in Europe:
- Age-Gated Configurations: We do not intentionally collect, save, or transmit any data from children under the age of 13.
- Safe Creative Ads Filters: All integrated SDK ad channels (AdMob, Meta, Unity Ads, Mintegral) are configured with strict safety tags (e.g., Tag for Child-Directed Treatment - TFCD/TFUA) where applicable, which ensures that only family-appropriate, safe, and age-rated ad creatives are loaded in the application. We completely block all mature, dating, or violent advertising categories.
3. Parent Guidance & The "Secret Exit" Safety Feature
To prevent children from becoming confused, scared, or panicking thinking a real device upgrade is stuck, our prank features incorporate a safety-critical Secret Exit Tap gesture:

- Parent Bypass: An onboarding secret guide dialog is shown at launch to ensure parents and developers understand how to instantly exit any simulator loop.
- Discrete 3-Second Ticker: When executing the multi-tap sequence, a discrete 3, 2, 1 verification spinner appears, and a closing ad may play. If network latency delays the ad, the app safely overrides the loader and closes automatically to prevent lockouts.
- Customizable Taps: Tap trigger counts can be customized easily in settings, giving parents absolute control over the prank sensitivity.
4. Guidelines for Safe & Responsible Pranking
We encourage parents and users to teach safe digital citizenship. When using the prank simulator:
- Always ensure the target is aware it was a joke immediately after the simulation ends.
- Never use the simulator during critical moments, school tests, or active professional tasks.
- Ensure children do not modify device settings or purchases without parental supervision.
